2021
The second SIFMA was a hybrid event, due to the pandemic. The festival was performed live at the State Legislative Assembly and
live-streamed on the SIFMA official website and Facebook page and at different locations throughout Malaysia, including The Junk, Damai Beach Resort,
Waterfront Hotel, Plaza Merdeka, Grand Margherita Hotel, Commons, Biddy's Cafe, UCSI Hotel, TK Agency, Megalanes Sarawak, Thumbs, AEON Mall, Grandma Bak Kut
Teh and La Promenade Mall in Kuching, Coco Cabana in Miri, Outright Coffee in Sibu and Eastin Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The watch parties enable audiences to
enjoy SIFMA despite Covid-19 restrictions, with family, friends and plenty of food!
SIFMA 2.0 also introduced something new: a forum called 'Let's Talk', which features inspirational stories and advice from professionals and
enthusiasts within the creative community.
2019
The first SIFMA took place at the old State Legislative Assembly building in Petra Jaya, Kuching on June 28 and 29, 2019. The gala
concert featured performances from both local and international acts including the Kuala Lumpur Childrens' Choir, Mandeville Stars and the Vocal Consort from Singapore, the Taiwan Bamboo Orchestra as well as dance groups from Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand and more!
